La primera en construirse fue Dunkerque. El museo, creado en 1943, alberga una treintena del centenar de maquetas que conserva, 260 en total diseñadas entre 1668 y 1870. Fundada en 1838 por exiliados polacos llegados a París tras el fracaso de la insurrección contra el Imperio ruso, tenía una misión clara: preservar la memoria y la cultura de un país privado de su soberanía. Desde 1853, la Biblioteca conserva miles de documentos, manuscritos y obras de arte, y ofrece una amplia gama de eventos culturales y científicos durante todo el año. Aquí descubrirá primero el Salón Frédéric Chopin, donde encontrará recuerdos del célebre compositor: partituras, retratos, objetos personales, un molde de su mano y su máscara mortuoria. Es un lugar conmovedor, evocador de la vida de Chopin en París. Más adelante, paseará por el Museo Adam Mickiewicz, el mayor poeta polaco del Romanticismo.
